THE STATE GOVERNMENT

This is the second tier of government after the local government. The state has the governor as its head assisted by a deputy governor. They also have commissioners as well as special advisers and assistants.

The state government also has the State House of Assembly

 whose members are also elected by the people to make laws

The state government performs many duties. Here are

 some of them:

    1. Provision of clean water

    2. Provision of housing for the people

    3. Provision of good schools

    4. Provision of good hospitals

     5.Provision of good roads

 Sources of income                    

    1.They receive a monthly allocation from the federal government

     2.They make from trading goods with other states

     3.They also generate revenue from taxes
