THE CALLING OF THE DISCIPLES

Who is a disciple?

A disciple is a pupil or someone who is undergoing training under the guardian of a superior teacher(s).

The first four disciples were:

    1. Andrew 2. Simon (Peter) 3. Philip 4. Nathaniel

THE CONDITIONS OF DISCIPLESHIP

Jesus told the disciples what every one of them should do to become his true disciple. According to Jesus, to be his disciple, one should:

1. be very wise

2. be innocent

3. be bold and fearless

4. be ready to bear insults, hatred, suffering and death.
