THE GOOD SHEPHERD


Memory Verse: Psalms 23:1-2


 "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; he makes 

me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still 

waters."


Who is a shepherd?

A Shepherd is a person who looks after a flock of sheep.


Who is a good shepherd?

 A good shepherd is the one who loves his sheep and takes good care of them.


QUALITIES OF A GOOD SHEPHERD

1. He is a good leader.

2. He loves his sheep.

3. He protects his sheep from danger.

4. He provides food and water for his sheep.

5. He knows his sheep by name.


THE ADVANTAGES OF FOLLOWING JESUS

1. You will be in the path of righteousness always.

2. You will have peace of mind.

3. You will have hope and confidence.

4. You will spend eternal life in heaven.

WHO IS GOD? (YEAR 7)

Who is God?   According to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary  defines God as the Supreme Being of Judaism, Christianity  and Islam, creator and ruler of the universe.      God is generally accepted as the creator of the world.  When there was no heaven and earth there has been God.  God is the uncreated spirit being who existed before the  beginning of time.     God is the sovereign Lord of the universe, because He is  the creator of all creatures. God is also the provider of all  needs. Before He created man He knew that man would eat,  and so he created countless plants bearing fruits for him to  eat.     He has final authority and power over everything created.  E.g. weather, seasons, storms, floods, earthquakes, man,  sun, moon, mountains, rivers etc. Attributes of God: 1.
