 PAUL’S MISSION

MEMORY VERSE: Acts 13:2 “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

A missionary is a person who travels from place to place preaching the word of God and the good news to people.

THE SELECTION OF PAUL AND BARNABAS

In the church at Antioch, there were some prophets and teachers among whom were Barnabas, Simeon, Lucius, Manaen and Paul.  Here Paul and Barnabas were selected for the first missionary journey.

PAUL AT ANTIOCH IN PISIDIA

Paul and Barnabas travels to Seleucia, Salamis, Paphos and

Perga to preach the gospel. From Perga, they went to Antioch in Pisidia. It was here that Silas joined Paul.

PAUL AT LYSTRA AND DERBE

From Iconium, Paul and Silas travelled to Lystra. Here Paul healed a lame man and the people were so happy but others became jealous and beat up Paul. After here, Paul and Silas made their way to Derbe.

PAUL AT CORINTH

This was Paul’s second missionary journey. Paul met a couple

here called Aquila and Priscilla. Paul preached and made many converts. Silas and Timothy also arrived from

Macedonia to join Paul at Corinth. He stayed for one year and six  months in Corinth.
